Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, VA (just outside Richmond) is seeking a new sexton/custodian to replace our retiring sexton. The sexton is responsible for providing cleaning, minor maintenance and other grounds/building related duties for the entire facility (encompassing both the church and its in-house Children's Learning Center). The sexton also coordinates with the Properties committee in relation to repair work, outside contractors and building upkeep. Scheduling is flexible overall but will likely require evening or early morning duties to prepare the CLC before staff and students arrive.

The position is supervised by the Senior Pastor along with daily coordination with the CLC director. The position will include a month of paid on-the-job training with the retiring sexton.

The position is full time, including health insurance contribution, retirement and vacation/sick/personal time.
